Granny K's in Scotland, Texas Ride 8-16-08

Today, Saturday, 8-16-08, Rodney called and asked if I wanted to go to Granny K's Kitchen, in Scotland, Texas for lunch. As I have never been there and Scotland is only about 19 miles South of Wichita Falls, Texas and it would give me some motorcycle time with good friends, I readily accepted (after getting the ok from Janice. She had to work so she didn't go). Scroll on down and check out this brief ride to Granny K's and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE...

I went to Rodney & Vicki's house to get them. When I got there, they were on the bikes & ready to go. Here are Rodney & Rianne and Vicki.

Here we are heading South down US 281. Rodney & Rianne on the right & Vicki is up front, leading the way.

Here are the signs at Granny K's Kitchen in Scotland, Texas. Granny K's is right on US 281 on the East side of the road.

Our bikes parked in front of Granny K's...

Here is Rianne inside all happy & hungry...

Here is Vicki, all grins. She had told me this place had pretty good chow..

Rodney looks like he's ready for a chicken fried steak meal. He & Vicki both said Granny K's Chicken Fried Steak was almost as good as The Rock Inn's in Seymour, Texas.

Granny K's didn't look too busy. Vicki told me the business closed at 2 p.m. We got there right around 1:30 pm

After eating, we headed to the bikes to leave..Here is Rianne, who beat us to the bikes..

Here is Rianne, Rodney & Vicki, in the parking lot of Granny K's Kitchen, Scotland, Texas.

Last pic of the day is of me and Rodney. We've been friends for over 31 years now.

This will conclude this post. I had a good time with Rodney, Vicki & Rianne today and found another good place to eat. If you're cruising US 281 and happen to go thru Scotland, Texas, you might consider stopping at Granny K's Kitchen to eat. The food is good and the price is reasonable.

Scroll down for more rides, events & posts and don't forget to click on the "older posts" link at the bottom of EACH page for more posts, back to January 08. Until next post/ride, ya'll be careful, ride safe & keep the rubber on the road....JOHN
