Hot Springs Arkansas Motorcycle Rally- Sissy's pics 9-15-08

On Thursday, 9-11-08, the following folks left Wichita Falls Texas enroute to Hot Springs Arkansas for the Hot Springs Motorcycle Rally: Steve & Sissy drove their truck, towing their "Toy Hauler", Debbie & Jeff, Patti & Jim and Lance left with them but they rode their motorcycles. In light of the nasty weather from Hurricane Ike that tracked over them, Sissy said the Toy Hauler was a wise investment as they stayed dry, unlike others who got a little damp in the tents and other means available at the campgrounds. Scroll on down & check out the Rally that was cut short due to weather from Hurricane Ike and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

And they are off!! A view from inside the pickup truck..

Steve & Sissy's campsite. Note their motorcycles, "toy hauler" & truck side by side. The thrill of the wild with the comforts of home..

A view up the Petit Jean Mountain & restaurant.

Here are, Sissy's Harley (yellow). Pattie's Harley (red) & Jim's Harley (black)

Steve & Pattie..Looks like Pattie is retuning from a "refreshing" stroll....

Pattie, Debbie & Jeff check out the designs on Debbie's bike

Pattie checking Jim to see if he needs any Monkey Butt Powder...Note: she isn't taking any chances and is wearing her gloves....

Jim & Pattie at a little higher, cooler elevation....

I saw this and thought what is this thing? Is this the spot where God would insert the hose if he were to give the U.S an enema? Then I remembered...that spot would be Ft. Polk Louisiana..This must be something else...

And it was.. A cool looking waterfall..Great picture Sissy!!

I guess the sound of the waterfalls massive running sound, had that particular tone that made Jim go and make a "waterfall" of his own...BUSTED!!

At the Rally, Debbie brings her bike inside for some art work

Here is some artwork she got added to her already Pink gas tank..

Lance, Jim & Pattie look around at stuff inside...

Here is a guy putting pin stripes & artwork onto Pattie's bike

Sissy even got her helmet customizedSissy looking at Jim in an effort to get Pattie jealous...I heard it was in vain

They all had to leave the rally early due to deteriorating weather from Hurricane Ike..They took a northern route back to Texas but the riders rode thru what we call a "turd floater rainstorm" for 5 hours before they broke out of it. Here is where they stopped for a rest.

That is Jim & Pattie, I think, as they take a rest following the heavy rain they had been driving in..

Here is Lance after the rain..

Last pic is of Lance & I think, Debbie, during the rest stop. Tomorrow night we have our weekly dinner and I will get the lowdown on the trip from them all & then I will do a post with their stories about it . We are glad they are home & glad they all made it back with no mishaps.. Scroll down for more rides, events & posts and don't forget to click on the "older posts" link at the bottom of EACH page for more posts back to January 08. Until next ride and post, ya'll be careful out there, RIDE SAFE, and keep the rubber on the road............JOHN
